The mission of Pinky Cares is to empower the children and families of Petersburg (and surrounding areas) to build stronger relationships, make healthier life choices, and pursue brighter futures through positive community engagement, education, and access to positive influences.
ACT Fund
ACTIVE CHILDREN THRIVE
The ACT Scholarship (Active Children Thrive) removes financial barriers by providing scholarships to children, allowing them to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, dance, and art. These activities are proven to improve physical and mental health, build confidence, and foster social skills. Research shows that children who engage in extracurricular activities are 70% less likely to engage in risky behaviors and 40% more likely to achieve higher academic performance.
